Booking a Virtual Appointment
Tips to book a virtual appointment
Due to limited appointment slots available at each release, the queue number is assigned through a lottery process and does not necessarily guarantee or secure an appointment time.
Launch the site 10 minutes before release time to join the booking queue line.
Have your credit card ready.
It's highly recommended to select your local time zone during booking in lieu of selecting a random time zone. That way you can be sure to coordinate your local time zone with Hawaii Time since Lan Vo is based in Hawaii.
Have a headshot photo ready for upload (this is OPTIONAL).
Create an account immediately after you have successfully booked an appointment, that way, you check-out faster on your next booking (this is OPTIONAL).
Cancellation/Refund Policy
Cancellation policy
If you cancel within 48 business hours of your appointment time, a $100 late cancellation fee will be applied. This applies to Regular and Immediate or Express appointments. You may cancel appointments by phone, text, email, or online.
Can I get a refund for my prepaid session?
Full refund is allowed when your cancellation request adheres to the cancellation policy.
I am not satisfied with my session, can I get a refund?
All sales are final. No refunds are issued once your session commences.

Technology Related Questions
What video conference platform or app do you use?
Video sessions are only on Zoom. No other video conference apps are used.
I never used Zoom before. I'm not tech savvy, what should I do?
If you are not familiar with Zoom, not to worry! Contact our office after booking an appointment and we will Zoom-practice with you. We suggest you to test out Zoom at least 48 business hours prior to your appointment time.
Tip: If you have not Zoom before with Lan Vo, we highly recommend to Zoom-practice with our office at least 48 business hour prior to your appointment time.
I've used Zoom before and I'm familiar with Zoom, do I need to practice?
Zoom test your audio and video. Sometimes a glitch can happen and you want to be in terrific shape for your session!
It's possible your privacy and security settings on your computer is not the same as your smartphone or tablet, etc.
Tip: Zoom-practice if you got a new smart device or computer. Check your privacy and security settings for Zoom app to allow for audio and video.
What is preferred: Zoom session on the computer, tablet, or mobile device?
Be sure the device you're using has stable wifi connection. Test out your device ahead of time even though you may have used Zoom before. Contact our office to Zoom-practice with you.

What type of appointments are offered?
Appointment types available:
Hoku and Hoku Plus sessions are avaialble to book online (approximately 20-minute). Hoku Plus sessions are more flexible and available for rebooking, whereas Hoku session does not have this option. Certain restrictions apply for rebooking Hoku Plus, please contact our office for details.
Wikiwiki sessions (approximately 20-minute) are only available on the weekends. You may book online or call our office.
Aloha sessions, also known as an immediate or Special Express session (approximately 20-minute) is available to book by calling our office. Contact our office for availability and pricing. You can complete "Special Appointment" form online and include your immediate session dates.
Aloha starts at $350 for approximately 20-minutes.

How long has Lan Vo been in business?
Lan Vo has over 30 years of experience!
Does Lan Vo speaks English?
Yes, Lan speaks English. Although English may not be Lan's native tongue, she does speak English with an accent. If you cannot understand her accent during the session, please stop Lan and ask her to repeat.
Can I record the session?
No audio or video recording of any kind. Any audio or video recording of the session is strictly prohibited as it interferes with Lan's energy level. Any interruptions may compromise your spiritual experience. You may take notes with paper and pen.
Do you have a waitlist for cancelled appointments?
We do not have a waitlist, cancelled appointments are populated back online.
Do you have in-person sessions? I prefer meeting in-person.
No in-person sessions allowed. All session are virtual Zoom appointments only.
Do you take walk-ins?
No walk-ins allowed. All session are virtual Zoom appointments only.
What language do you offer for interpreter services?
At this time, we have Japanese, Cantonese, and Mandarin interpreters.
Note: For interpreter services, there is an additional fee which is paid directly to the interpreter. Contact our office and we can provide more information.
How should I prepare for the session?
For an optimal expereince, be sure to read the guidelines provided in your confirmation email to prepare for your session.
I have follow-up questions or need clarification. Can the office staff help pass the questions to Lan?
Office staff is unable to ask Lan on your behalf.
I no longer need my appointment. Can I pass my appointment to someone else?
If you no longer need your appointment, please cancel as soon as possible to avoid cancellaton fee. Appointments are non-transferable. This also allows others to make a reservation. You may cancel by phone, text, email, or on the website.
Why do you ask for a photo?
Your session may result in a prayer and would be helpful to have a clear headshot of yourself (no shades, no hat). You may email it to the office or upload the photo of yourself to your account.
My appointment was cancelled by the office, what happened?
It is possible the office cancelled your appointment. Call the office and we will sort it out.
My contact number or email was not accepted on the booking page. What should I do?
If your contact number or email was not "accepted" for any reason on the booking page, be sure to have that information under the "Message to Lan Vo" as an alternative place.

I didnt get a booking confirmation. Why?
Firstly, check your spam inbox. Secondly, if you did not complete your booking, that could be a reason. Lastly, it's possible you did not enter the correct email or contact number. Email or call our office to confirm your booking.
Can I receive text message notification for appointment reminder?
Yes, be sure to enter the correct number. No landline if you want to receive text reminders. For international numbers, be sure to include your country code.
Why do you need my credit card to book an appointment?
Reservations made online (Regular or Hoku) require a credit card to reserve your appointment. You do not get charged at the time of your booking. You may see the credit charge 48 business hour prior to the start of your session.
Can I change or update my credit card info?
Yes, you may. Notify the office by email or phone at least 48 hour prior to your appointment time.
When do I need to pre-pay my session?
Pre-payment is required for booking Immediate or Express sessions.
I want to gift an appointment, how does that work?
If you'd like to gift a session, be sure to provide the correct contact info and indicate that in the message field. Our office will be in contact once booking is complete.
If you want to gift an immediate session, just give our office a ring.
What are the guidelines for the session?
Refer to your confirmation email for session guidelines.
Does Lan Vo conduct blessing service?
All blessing service has been suspended.
